Carla Trickey Peacock was born and raised in Calhoun County, graduated from Blountstown High School and attended Chipola Junior College. Carla obtained her real estate license in 2002 and practiced real estate for many years before being elected in 2016 as Calhoun County’s first female Property Appraiser.
Carla is married to John Michael (Mike) Peacock and they make their home in Blountstown. The Peacocks are blessed with one granddaughter, Lorelai Claire Zorn. They have one daughter, Madison Peacock Zorn and son-in-law, Crete Zorn. Carla was very active in her community before being elected and has or continues to serve in the following organizations: Blountstown Rotary Club (Past President) , Calhoun County Community Foundation (Vice-Chair), Blountstown Main Street (Past Board of Directors), Blountstown High School Advisory Council and a member of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce.
Carla is a Certified Florida Appraiser (CFA) through the Florida Department of Revenue. She is a member of the Property Appraiser Association of Florida (PAAF), the Florida Association of Assessing Officers and the National Association of Assessing Officers.
Carla was elected as the District 3 Director for the Property Appraiser Association of Florida for 2022-2023. District 3 covers Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Wakulla, Walton and Washington counties.
Carla is a past member of the Chipola Area Board of Realtors and was elected to the Board of Directors. She also served on the Education, Fair Housing and Grievance Committees. She was also a member of the Panhandle Association of Realtors and was on the Leadership Development Team.
